Recent events in the world have brought the subject of risk into higher profile. Evaluating the range of available risk management techniques and choosing the most appropriate response in each case is an increasingly significant element of managerial responsibility in today’s business environment. We cannot eliminate risk entirely, but our challenge is to identify the right risk to take and to minimize its potential negative impact. Dealing with risk should produce benefits for us as individuals, as well as for the organizations within which we work. However, taking a risk can also result in a positive outcome. This training course will show you how to analyze and minimize risk, turn risk into opportunity, and manage uncertainty. This Risk Management training course is structured around the ISO 31000:2009 framework, principles and processes. It will describe internal control mechanisms and explain how to measure risk in terms of probability and potential impact, as recommended by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
